Some of Suffolk County’s villages set up public ice skating rinks just for the season. Visit the village center at Port Jefferson, where you can rent skates and get hot chocolate. Or the outdoor rink at Mitchell Park in Greenport which is located near the year-round merry-go-round and village shops. Outdoor rinks offer ice skate rentals and some are located near scenic harbors on the bay.
