Join Harbes Orchard from September 7-8 in Riverhead for two fun-filled days of apple activities for the whole family. Their 15-acre apple orchard has apples that are even within reach of the smallest hands. 10th Annual Port Jefferson Dragon Boat Race Festival
The 10th Annual Port Jefferson Dragon Boat Race Festival is September 14th, and this year celebrates the Year of the Dragon. This annual festival hosted by The Greater Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce brings together Long Island communities to share a day of recreational racing and entertainment. Unique to this year is a fire breathing dragon display, dragon dance, paint class, and raffle prizes.

Join Southold Historical Museum for an exciting Revolutionary War Reenactment at the Maple Lane Complex where you can experience what life would’ve been like at a Patriot encampment! In full costume, the 3rd New York Regiment reenactors immerse themselves and their visitors in a well-researched experience of what it was actually like to spend the day in a military encampment. Visitors will explore 18th-century camp life, including demonstrations of firearms, military drills, and other daily tasks—all for free!

Celebrate Long Island’s marine history at the 34th Annual Marine Festival in Greenport on September 21-22, a tribute to the region’s seafaring heritage. Hosted by the East End Seaport Museum & Marine Foundation, this festival brings together over a hundred vendors, a variety of delicious food, live entertainment, and fun activities for children, all in the coastal village of Greenport.
