Join us for another great Third Friday at The Reboli Center with local artist and Vietnam veteran John Melillo. Melillo, a proud Eastern Long Island native, found solace in art to combat his PTSD. Through his paintings, he captures the images of Vietnam and Long Island’s East End, reflecting themes of adventure, culture, and resilience. Melillo’s art is geared towards detail and story telling. He paints two topics, his East End Heritage and his “Life Goes On” series, where he paints the lighter side of Vietnam from his original photos he took on tour in Vietnam. After traveling the world, Melillo’s bond with Long Island remains strong, embodying its rich history, art, and enduring spirit. Today, Melillo uses his art to inspire and support others navigating their own emotional journeys.
