CAPYBARA ENCOUNTERS at Long Island Game Farm

Happy Capy! Get up close to these giant and sweet rodents and feed them a treat! Photos welcomed.

After September 15, 2026, our three capybara juveniles will be moving to new homes! We wish them well.  

Lily just became the mother of four capybara pups, and they have already started participating in encounters.

Because the pups are newborns, guests are not allowed to touch, feed, or hold them. Please listen to the zookeeper’s instructions for interacting with them.

By popular demand, now includes GENERAL ADMISSION! 

$100.00/per person. Max 8 people per time slot. Subject to availability. Groups will be combined when needed. Ages 5 and up. Children under 15 must be accompanied with a paying adult. 

*All Animal Encounter participants must sign a General Liability waiver prior to entering the animal enclosures. Please note: “no call, no shows” will not be rescheduled or refunded except in cases of emergency. Important: Lateness of 10 minutes or more will not be rescheduled or refunded.
