Discover this 0.5-mile point-to-point trail near Sayville, New York. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 9 min to complete. This is a very popular area for birding and walking, so you’ll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are May through October. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash.
Also known as the Carrington Tract or the Meat Rack, the sandy path with beach access links the hamlets of Cherry Grove and Fire Island Pines, passing by the Carrington House vacation home, built circa 1912 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
