Christie Jones Studio

My practice centers on material process and the relationship between artmaking and coastal ecosystems. Using handmade paints derived from earth and mineral pigments alongside ceramics, sculpture, and reclaimed materials, I create works that explore resilience, regeneration, and the interconnected systems of shoreline environments.

Actively working in conservation and continuing my studies in sculpture, these experiences further inform my work and teaching. I lead workshops for participants of all ages, engaging individuals with sustainable materials and place-based observation, fostering awareness of how creative practice can support environmental stewardship.

Across my work, I aim to create meditative spaces that draw viewers in through beauty while addressing urgent environmental realities. By blending art, education, and activism, I seek to inspire collective responsibility and a deeper relationship with the natural world.
