About Shirley Beach
Shirley Beach is a 500-foot beach located in Shirley, in the Town of Brookhaven on the South Shore of Long Island. Like most of the beaches on the South Shore, Shirley Beach is a sandy beach facing the Bellport Bay.
If you are looking for bigger scenery facing the Atlantic Ocean, Fire Island’s National Seashore is just a couple of minutes down the road via car, past the Smith Point Bridge.
Popular activities on this island specifically on the western side of the island, which holds Robert Moses State Park, include boating and sailing, fishing, surfing, snorkeling and swimming.
