Open daily from September 4 through October 31, Harbes Orchard is an ideal spot for all things autumn. From apple picking to apple cider doughnuts, and even cider slushies, Harbes has thought of it all. The 78-acre orchard features 27 different apple varieties and a corn maze. For animal encounters, head to Spirit’s Promise Rescue dedicated to horse rehabilitation or the Hallockville Museum Farm.
A separate location from Harbes Orchard, Harbes Barnyard Adventure in Mattituck offers many more family-friendly fall attractions. Here, guests will find an obstacle course, jumbo jumpers, playgrounds, a variety of farm animals, a sports zone, a gnome-themed hedge maze, a trike track, a bunny village, as well as chick and bumblebee observatories!
Next door at Harbes Family Farm, guests can enjoy pumpkin picking, a Wizard of Oz-themed corn maze, hayride tours, farm-fresh produce, and of course, specialty treats. Get a taste of the new Apple Crisp Ice Cream while it lasts! Adults can even sip wine from the Harbes vineyard at the Harbes Family Wine Barn located on the same property as the farm in Mattituck.
Across from Harbes Farm, don’t miss Patty’s Berries & Bunches for fresh sunflowers, produce, and plants. Enjoy a delicious treat from the Ice Cream Patch, which sources all of its ingredients locally.

The East End Seaport Museum offers a 2-hour lighthouse cruise to explore Bug Light. Originally built in 1860, Bug Lighthouse is a symbol of Greenport’s maritime heritage. The museum also offers an extended 3.5-hour-long cruise that tours additional lighthouses and attractions in the area.
When in the Peconic area, head on down to Greenport Harbor Brewing Company and enjoy sensational seasonal beers, like the U-Pick and Leaf Pile Pumpkin Ales! All of the company’s beers are made locally in two craft breweries right here on the North Fork. The newer of the two breweries also serves as a tasting room and restaurant that’s perfect for lunch or happy hour, while the original location still stands in an old firehouse in Greenport.
Established in 1902, Wickham Farm is home to the oldest cider press on Long Island. Why not grab a bit of history with your U-Pick apple and pumpkin experiences?! While you’re here, be sure to stock up on freshly made jams and jellies, homemade pies, chocolate fudge, and of course, apple cider doughnuts!
Across from Pindar Vineyards, sits Krupski Farms which is home to a spooky haunted barn.
