Santa Claus is Coming to Town: A Guide to Santa Spotting’s on Long Island This Holiday Season

From tree lightings to special breakfasts, don’t miss your chance to tell Santa what you want for the holidays during one of his many stops on Long Island this holiday season. Here is our go-to guide of where Santa will be this holiday season.

Spotting Santa on Long Island: 2021 edition

Long Island Aquarium and Exhibition Center, Riverhead

Bring in the season with a Santa buffet brunch at the Long Island Aquarium (431 East Main St., Riverhead). Take photos with Santa and create a holiday keepsake at the Sea Star ballroom and then continue the fun-filled day at the Aquarium. Reservations are required as space is limited, please call (631) 208-9200 ext. 426 to save your spot.

Glen Cove Mansion, Glen Cove

Enjoy holiday treats like red velvet pancakes, eggnog waffles, and peppermint stick French toast at the Glen Cove Mansion’s (200 Dosoris Ln., Glen Cove) Santa breakfast or brunch. Reservations are required and can be made via OpenTable or by calling (516) 751-5623.  Guests will also receive a 20% discount on rooms should they decide to stay past brunch.

Danfords Hotel & Marina, Port Jefferson

Christmas Story on Long Island

Have brunch with Santa at Danfords Hotel, Marina & Spa (25 E Broadway, Port Jefferson), a boutique hotel overlooking the Long Island Sound. Celebrate the holidays with this Santa meet and greet and then explore the darling decorated downtown village of Port Jefferson. Reservations are required and space is limited, book your brunch online today!

Fire Island Lighthouse, Fire Island

Famous Fire Island Lighthouse on Long Island at sunset

Christmas comes to the beach at the Fire Island Lighthouse (Robert Moses State Park Field #5, Fire Island). In 1953, Pilot Snow flew his plane past the lighthouse to leave a gift for the Lighthouse Keeper and his family. Take part in the 18th annual reenactment of this historical event and get the chance to take a photo with Santa.

Event date: December 11th

Local Burger, Bay Shore

Santa will be at Local Burger in Bay Shore this December! Come for the local provisions and stay for the pictures with Santa and of course, the goodie bags he’ll be passing out. The event will be held from 10 a.m to 12 p.m. on the 12th and tickets are needed in advance as space is limited. To reserve your seat, click here.

The Roslyn, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, Roslyn

Indulge in a festive breakfast buffet with Santa at The Roslyn hotel (1221 Old Northern Blvd., Roslyn) while you enjoy holiday music and live entertainment. Santa will also be available for photos and will be double-checking his gift list to ensure your child’s wishes are heard.

Event date: December 14th

Roosevelt Field Mall, Garden City

Santa will be at the Roosevelt Field Mall all season for special visits and holiday pictures. Visit the North Court to see Santa and then spend the day holiday shopping.

Event date: November 11th-December 24th (November 21st-December 19th for pictures with pets)
