Things to Do on Long Island

We know you'll be visiting for the Ryder Cup, but there's plenty of activities you can take part in aside from watching the game. While you're here, be sure to take a bite at one of our restaurants, explore a local downtown area, and check out all of the fun you can have throughout the week.

Practice Your Swing

You may be watching the pros play most of the golf, but that doesn't mean you can't join in! Try out one of Long Island's golf courses open to the public or warm up for the game at an indoor golf simulator.

Catch Up at a Sports Bar

You may be focused on the Ryder Cup while you're here, but make sure you check up on your other sports teams too! Hop into a local sports bar and watch the game with a plate of your favorite pub food at your finger tips.

Tour the Vineyards

Wine and golf typically don't go together, but they do on Long Island! Alongside our golf courses are 82 wineries that make up the North Fork. Set foot onto rustic barns with acres of vines to explore, and sip on our award-winning red, white, and rosé wines.

Take a Walk on the Beach

Beaches line Long Island from coast to coast, leaving you with miles of surf and sand to enjoy. It may be a little cooler during Ryder Cup season, but our beaches are open all year round! Be sure to pack up the car with some beach towels and chairs so you can enjoy the sun in style.

Fun for the Whole Family

Don't worry about the kids getting bored during each golf round. Long Island has plenty of activities they can enjoy too! Take them to an amusement park, a children's museum, an aquarium, and so much more.

Explore Long Island

With an entire week of golf on the way, you may want to take a break from sports once in a while. Luckily, we've got you covered! Come check out everything else Long Island has to offer from outdoor adventures to family-friendly fun.
