DISCOVER LONG ISLAND ANNOUNCES WINNERS FOR THE REGION’S FIRST-EVER TOURISM AWARDS

LONG ISLAND, NY (October 31, 2017) ­–  Discover Long Island is thrilled to announce the winners of the region’s first-ever Tourism Awards in the categories: Partner of the Year, Industry Advancement, Tourism Trailblazer and Tourism Legacy. As part of the organization’s efforts to champion the tourism industry, the following honorees will be recognized at the Inaugural Tourism Awards Gala taking place Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at The Fox Hollow in Woodbury.

Industry Advancement Award – Global Center for Hospitality Management at New York Institute of Technology

Tourism Trailblazer Award – Governor Cuomo for the Long Island Welcome Center and Taste NY Market

Tourism Legacy Award – Gloria Rocchio, President of The Ward Melville Heritage Organization
