Episode One: Falling for Long Island

The fall season is here and that means there's lots to do on Long Island with our award-winning Wine Country, top fall foliage peeping and go-to harvest events.

Long Island has just been named one of the most incredible destinations to visit this fall by USA Today. One of our favorite spots to take in the blazing colors is at Planting Fields Arboretum. Located on the Gold Coast, this magnificent estate boasts over 400-acres of beautiful gardens designed by the Olmstead Brothers, known for the gardens at New York’s Central Park.

Looking for something a bit more adventurous, take in the changing colors with a horseback ride through Belmont Lake State Park, with over 450-acres of scenic trails and lakes.

You can’t say fall on Long Island without talking about our wonderful Harvest season complete with apple and pumpkin picking, visits to our many farms, go-to harvest events and of course a stop at Long Island’s booming Wine Country with over 60 vineyards. Winemaker, Anthony Sannino, shares what’s new on the vines in 2019 and the best ways to experience Wine Country and the North Fork for a true winemaker experience.
