About Gold Star Battalion Beach
Gold Star Battalion Beach is a 400-foot town-owned beach in Huntington Harbor. This small beach lays in dedication to the 227 men of the Huntington Township who joined the Gold Star Battalion in World War II. A plaque resides in the beach as a memorial to these brave men. Though the water can be calm at this beach, the water may not be the most inviting even though there is a roped off swimming area for those interested.
Fishing and kayaking are more popular activities at the beach and visitors looking to relax might make use of the dock area equipped with picnic tables and benches. Restrooms are open for visitors.
