Long Island Arts Alliance (LIAA) is an alliance of and for the region’s not-for-profit arts, cultural and arts education organizations. LIAA promotes awareness of and participation in Long Island’s world-class arts and cultural institutions. Formed in 2003, LIAA offers leadership and diverse support services to arts organizations, serves as an advocate for arts education in our schools and collaborates on strategies for economic development and community revitalization. LIAA produces the island’s the only comprehensive printed map featuring Nassau and Suffolk counties’ arts and cultural sites and venues and is distributed to over 500 locations from Manhattan to Montauk. In addition to the LI Arts Map, LIAA facilitates the Scholar-Artist Awards program which is designed to recognize high school seniors who are judged to be “the best of the best” in their artistic disciplines.
