Guide to Fireworks on Long Island – July 4, 2018

Get out your stars and stripes, Fourth of July is here! Long Island is the place to be for summer fireworks. From the highest points overlooking a bluff to watching the fireworks out on the ocean – watch the skies turn an illuminating red, white and blue.


Fireworks by Boat: 8:30 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.

Jump on the Freeport Water Taxi to get up close to the action of the Jones Beach fireworks show, the Point Lookout and Freeport firework displays.


Stars Over Montauk: 9:15 p.m. – 9:45 p.m.

Out at Long Island’s – ‘the end’ watch the iconic Grucci fireworks display. Free of charge and perfect for the entire family.


Jones Beach Show: Starts at 9:30 p.m.

Signature of a Long Island summer, head to Jones Beach State Park to walk on the boardwalk or lay on the sand while the sky lights up and the music plays.


Viking Fleet Cruise: 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Experience Montauk on the water with the Viking Fleet. For a night out, enjoy live music, cocktail specials, a dinner buffet and drinks while cruising the water around the spectacular firework lights.



Fireworks Show Cruise and Dinner: Nautical Mile, Freeport, 8:00 p.m. – 12:15 a.m.

Sailing around Jones Beach, have a Fourth of July filled with dancing, a DJ, dinner and of course, fireworks.


Capt Lou’s Fireworks Cruise: Freeport, 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 pm.

Step on the Capt. Lou’s party boat for an evening out at sea with a DJ and great views of the annual fireworks show.
