SOUTHAMPTON, NY –(June 25, 2015)- The Long Island Convention and Visitors Bureau is thrilled that the national and well-recognized USA Today named our beaches as a top spot to ‘celebrity watch.’

Coopers Beach in Southampton and Main Beach in East Hampton are both specifically named in the June 23 article entitled: “The Best Beaches for Celebrity Sightings.’

“The Hamptons on New York’s Long Island have long been a playground for the Hollywood elite,” according to the article’s author, Susan B. Barnes. “Among the beaches wherein celebrities may be spotted are Coopers Beach in Southampton and Main Beach in East Hampton. Over the past few years, Hugh Jackman, Christy Brinkley, Christy Turlington, Ed Burns, Donna Karan and Gwyneth Paltrow have been spotted on the scene, both on the beaches and off.”

Fittingly, both Coopers Beach and Main Beach have been named to the number one spots within the last five years in Dr. Stephen Leatherman’s (AKA Dr. Beach) Top Ten list of ‘Best Beaches in America.’
