Calling all seafood lovers! Gather your friends and family to savor the flavors of local seafood with the best local oysters at some of the best restaurants on Long Island! Long Island Oyster Week will be taking place from October 14th – 20th where participating businesses will offer oyster specials sourced from participating oyster growers. If that doesn’t excite you enough, the specials being offered range from $1 oysters, $2 oysters and an oyster sampler to special oyster appetizers and oyster entrées! Restaurants may offer one or all these oyster specials for the seven days of seafood bliss, all of which will be listed on the Long Island Oyster Week website at www.oysterweekli.com. Make sure to secure your tables at the participating restaurants that catch your eye, you don’t want to miss out!
Oyster farming has provided the opportunity for two of Long Island’s historically traditional industries, farming and fishing, to continue to exist for future generations. The oysters being shell-ebrated in this special week come from growers across the island in the waters of the North Shore, South Shore and the East End. Participating growers include Davy Jones Shellfish, Deep Water Oyster Co., Eel Town Oysters, Founders Bay Oyster Farm, Great Gun Oyster Co., Hamptons Oyster Co., Little Ram Oyster Co., Long Island Shellfish Co., Lucky 13, Maris Stella, Montauk Pearls, Neguntatogue Oyster Co., North Fork Big Oyster Co., Oysterponds Shellfish Co., Peconic Gold Oysters, Tallmuthashucka and Thatch Island Oyster Farm.
Oysters from The Snapper Inn Waterfront Restaurant
The Snapper Inn Waterfront Restaurant located in Oakdale will be offering oysters from all three waters, North Shore, South Shore and East End. The delicious specials available during Oyster Week will include $1 oysters, oyster sampler, oyster appetizer and a special oyster entrée!
Nantucket’s of Port Jefferson will be offering oysters from the North Shore, South Shore and East End all week long. The specials available to enjoy will range from $1 oysters, $2 oysters and a special oyster appetizer.
Juniper at the Vanderbilt in Westbury is excited to dive into LI Oyster Week! They will be offering $1 oysters all week long and reservations to secure your tables can be made on their website.
Calissa in Water Mill invites you in for LI Oyster Week to indulge in Mykonos in the Hamptons. Enjoy $1 oysters throughout the week! Reservations are recommended and can be made on their website.
