Signature Event: Pride on the Beach

June 4, 2018

Long Island Pride kicks off in Long Beach June 8-10, 2018 for the biggest weekend of events in its 28-year history!  This year’s theme – Brave. Strong. United. – will honor the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School’s Gay-Straight Alliance with 25 students and five school officials named as the Grand Marshal for the annual Pride Parade. June 8-10: Pride Carnival

For those of all ages, unleash your inner kid at the Newton Shows Carnival. Experience thrill rides, classic favorites and carnival games each day of Pride on the Beach.

June 8-10: A Taste of Long Beach

Cool off from the beach and stroll the boardwalk. Participating restaurants and bars will be offering specials weekend-long. From exclusive discounts to top-notch entertainment including karaoke, drag queen shows and live music – these spots are sure to be a buzz.

June 8: Kick-off Party at Junction

Start Pride Weekend with tasty bites and brews. From 7:30 pm-11:00 pm gather at Junction for the official kickoff party with DJs, live music and drinks. Recently opened in March 2017, Junction is Long Beach’s first live music venue.

June 9: Boat Parade

Experience the waterfront backdrop at the Pride Boat Parade at Reynold’s Channel. Decked out with Pride flags, the Knickerbocker Sailing Association will sail their fleet of boats and cruisers as participants cheer them on by the pier.

June 9: Pride Beach Party & Fashion Show

From 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm, take to the sand at the Pride beach party. Dance away with live DJs creating the ultimate beach party. Attend as a VIP for special access to cabanas and VIP amenities. While there, don’t miss the Pride Swimsuit Fashion Show for the latest beach fashions.

June 10: Concert on the Beach

As the Pride Parade makes way to the sand, the Concert on the Beach begins. Concert on the Beach makes for the perfect beach day paired with events on the boardwalk all day long. The concert will feature Grammy® Award-nominated, R&B recording artist and film/TV actress Deborah Cox, Billboard Chart topping Steve Grand and the Back to The Eighties Show with Jessie’s Girl.
