If this is your first race you may want to start with 5k or Half Marathon this way you can mentally and physically prepare yourself to embrace a full 26.2 mile marathon.
The early bird gets the worm:
Give yourself time to start your training early. Slowly building up stamina and mileage will help to achieve your pace goals while reducing your change of injury.
Sweat it out:
Daily runs and workouts will be your best friend. Switch it up between interval sessions and long runs that help to get stronger and prevent your body from becoming tired throughout the race.
Hydrate and rest:
H2O H2O H2O and allow your body to recover! Consistently pushing yourself is great, but remember to work smarter not necessarily harder.
Keep your head up:
Along this journey you many encounter feelings of success as well as defeat. Never lose sight of your goals, how much you have accomplished and how far you can go!
