Many historic landmarks that played a major part in these stories are still standing today and can be visited for those that want to learn more. For our region, Black History Month doesn't last only in February. Instead, we are committed to celebrating Black history all year long and teaching others about the culture and heritage that helps Long Island continue to be a place where everyone BeLongs.
