For the first time since its inception, Long Island’s Belmont Stakes will be running virtually and for the first time, it will be the first leg in the American Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing. This week Discover Long Island will kick-off a weeklong celebration of the time-honored Long Island tradition of the 152^nd Belmont Stakes.  The new ’Belmont First’ Facebook LIVE series will help fans plan an at-home Belmont experience with a schedule of daily LIVE events that feature the history, flavor and character of Long Island. As people around the world tune into this historic event, we want to share insights on how to incorporate Long Island, NY flavor and fun into in-home viewings with family and friends.
