Discover Long Island Announces New Board Members Representing
Oak View Group (UBS Arena) and Amity Education Group (Bourne Mansion)
Welcoming Mike Santeramo & Savita Arora
LONG ISLAND, NY (February 1, 2024) — Discover Long Island, the region’s only accredited destination marketing organization, put into effect its updated Board of Directors slate at its Board of Directors Meeting on Friday, January 19, 2024, which includes two new additions – Mike Santeramo & Savita Arora. The board is comprised of local tourism, hospitality, and business leaders, with a range of expertise in hotel and resort operations, real estate development, government, cultural institutions, attractions, transportation and more.

- Mike Santeramo of Stony Brook, NY: Director of External Affairs at Oak View Group – The largest developer of sports and live entertainment venues in the world, including UBS Arena. Prior to his work with Oak View Group, Santeramo worked as a Deputy County Executive for Nassau County under former County Executive Laura Curran.

- Savita Arora of Oakdale, NY: Vice President of Strategy and Operations at Amity Education Group, US - India's top ranked non-profit private University with campuses all over the world, including in Oakdale, NY. Amity Education Group has come to be recognized for pioneering a global culture in education in India with over two decades of academic excellence. Amity has numerous campus locations across the world including, but not limited to, Dubai, London, Singapore, New York, California, China, and Romania. Arora has served as the Vice President of Strategy and Operations since 2015.
