2016 Long Island Winterfest, Live on the Vine

Not sure how to spend your time on Long Island during the winter?  Once the holidays run out at this time of year the weekend events begin to wane, but all that changes once Long Island Winterfest: Live On The Vine arrives.  Created by the the Long Island Convention and Visitors Bureau,  Long Island Wine Council and as a project of Jim Faith Productions for East End Arts, this collection of events brings out the best of East End wine and live entertainment.  This marks the 9th year of the event series with 90+ wine events including over 50 musical performances.

Tasting rooms on or off the vineyard, boutique hotels, craft breweries, historic theaters and every other venue available provide the stages for more than 50 emerging artists and headliners, in a diverse menu of musical styles: jazz, rock, bluegrass, classical, world, singer-songwriter and more.  While you’re enjoying that, you’ve got the beautiful backdrop of one of the most charming regions in NY.

Some of the finest music in the Northeast will descend upon the North Fork to fill the fest schedule.  You’ll find emerging artists and national headliners for every taste and in every genre, such as: Jefferson Starship, Judy Collins, Songs in the Attic, Amy Helm & the Handsome Strangers, the Bryan Carter Trio, MJT, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, and a long list of local solo and group performers.
Ticket prices vary, and are dependent upon show and venue.  Additionally, overnight packages, Weekend Getaways, and Fest-specials are abound, so be sure to visit the Winterfest website for all of the details: http://liwinterfest.com/

Winterfest – Live On the Vine , is a five week, mid winter music, wine and art festival, taking place throughout Long Islands scenic north & south forks.  Performances by top names and emerging artists in rock, jazz, folk, country, soul, world and more,  plus “Art of Wine” and food events fill unique vineyard tasting rooms, historic theaters, boutique hotels and other inspired venues.
