One of the great beach treasures of western Long Island, Nickerson Beach Park (entrance fee required) covers 3,500 feet of ocean shoreline. Its East and West Terraces set on opposing sides of the sandy beach, offers many different activities and spectacular sights. Campsites: 74 RV (water/electric), 8 tents. Features: beach, pool (fee), surfing, snack bar, dump station, sewer hook ups. Dog run (owners responsible).
