Long Island Children's Museum

Long Island Children's Museum

The Long Island Children's Museum provides families with a nurturing environment where they can explore, discover, learn and play together. The 40,000 square foot museum, an anchor institution in the Museums at Mitchel Field complex, features 12 hands on exhibit galleries that demand seeing, touching and exploring. Art, music and science based workshops and family focused films and theater performances link thematically to the museum's monthly themes (Circus, Fun & Games, Celebrate LI: Land & Sea, etc). Since opening in 1993, nearly 1.3 million visitors have enjoyed fun, learning experiences at LICM.
