Hicksville Gregory Museum

Dinosaur eggs with an embryonic skeleton exposed, rare fossil birds, and mosasaur and dinosaur fossils are just some of specimens in the Hicksville Gregory Museum's collection.  Located in the 1895 Heitz Place Courthouse the museum has one of the largest mineral collections on Long Island including a spectacular fluorescent mineral display.  Butterflies and moths include both local and worldwide specimens.  The courthouse jail, complete with one original lockup, houses the local history collection as well as rotating displays about nineteenth and twentieth century Hicksville.
