Nestled among Sayville, N.Y.’s many shops, boutiques and restaurants, Wyland Galleries is Long Island’s newest fine art gallery. Over 200 pieces of originals and limited editions are on display. Wall art, bronze sculptures, furniture and lucites thrill collectors and browsers alike. The incredible art of world renowned marine artist and ecologist is now on Long Island. He is set to complete his 100th “whaling Wall” in Beijing prior to the Olympics. Wyland has created four pieces to commemorate the 2008 Olympics pledging 25%of retail sales of these pieces to the U.S. Olympic Team. Featured artists include James Coleman (Disney background animator for 22 years), Jim Warren (surrealist painter), Walfrido (Hawaiian landscapes), Dan Mackin (with Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys), Toby Bluth (Disney) and acclaimed local artists. Disney Collectible Fine Art is also represented. Many live artist shows and receptions are planned for the coming months.
