Nassau County waterways are known for their hidden channels and bays which lure residents and travelers for their beauty and serenity. The 96 acre Bay park, which borders Hewlett Bay and the East Rockaway Channel, Boasts such pristine views amid its none hole golf course, putting green and clubhouse. The park also features athletic fields for baseball, softball, soccer, football and cricket. Some fields are lighted for night games.
The park's fishing dock is open year round and offers greaat saltwater catches. There is also a transient boat launch and ramp, which includes a three slip boat ramp. For the truly adventurous, scuba diving and crabbing activities are allowed withe the proper permits. There are also many trails for biking, jogging or cross country skiing, weater permitting. Kids and adults alike can take advantage of the outdoor roller rink and playground, or cool off at the park's spray pool, in season. Pets are welcome at the adjacent, fenced in dog run on First Avenue.
