Smithtown Township Arts Council (STAC) is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) community cultural organization that exits to integrate the arts into the fabric of everyday life in Smithtown Township. Founded on the belief that art and culture are central components of livable communities, STAC strives to offer high quality, affordable cultural arts programming that families can enjoy together. At the historic Mills pond House in Saint James, STAC presents ten exhibitions annually, and organizes exhibitions by local artist at two STAC outreach galleries, at Apple Bank in Smithtown and the Bank of NY in Commack. Other programs include Jazz in the Living Room, a Sunday Brunch Concert Series, an annual Art of Music Summer Festival, poetry workshops, and artist's seminars. STAC also offers a wide range of art and poetry classes for children and adults, taught by certified teachers and professional artist. STAC is a vibrant arts council, ever expanding in new direction and always responsive to the suggestion of its members. Please consider getting involved, as a member, artist, a volunteer, a patron of the arts, or any way you see fit!
