North Woodmere Park

Located on the south shore, the 150 acre North Woodmere Park attracts many to its shorefront for crabbing and saltwater fishing along Middle bay.  The park's Olympic size pool with boards and platforms, a kiddie pool, training pool and interactive water play area.  The pool complex includes a lounge area, deck chair and a sun shelter for relaxing. 

For the golf enthusiasts, North Woodmere offers a nine hole golf course, driving range and practice tee, which require a fee.  Three ballfields attract teams from all over the Island.  Two are used for softball, Little League and a men's senior league.  One field is lighted nightly for baseball games.  Permit required for softball and baseball use.  Ten tennis courts, which required a fee, remain lighted during the season.  Other seasonally lighted courts include handball, basketball, volleyball, horseshoes and shuffleboard. 

A playground and community room are great places for the kids to meet other children.  Two family and group picnic areas are available on a first come, first serve basis, one on a reservation basis.
