MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

Take advantage of many of the FREE marketing opportunities available to you as a member/partner of the LICVB&SC. Put yourself ahead of the competition in attracting new corporate and leisure business. Website Presence

Once you become an LICVB&SC Member you will be put on the LICVB&SC website www.DISCOVERLONGISLAND.com with a link to your site (Fill out Website data form). Over 1.4 million potential visitors view our site each year. Tourism-related members may also be eligible to receive a free listing on the official New York State tourism website www.ILOVENY.com.

Events Listing

Submit your tourism-related special events, exhibits, performances, shows etc. to our information department for listing on our website and to be eligible to be printed in our Calendar of Events.

Program Co-Ops

Co-op partners will receive a complete listing of all program attendees. These leads will give you the opportunity to contact state, regional, national and international planners who are interested in Long Island as a destination.

Client Services Program

The LICVB&SC Client Services Program details all partners that offer valuable services to planners organizing a convention, conference, or meeting on Long Island.

Qualified Sales Leads

The LICVB&SC sales department develops business leads from meeting and group planners considering Long Island as a potential destination. Business leads are distributed to member partners based on the client’s request. This provides members with the opportunity to capture future business and promote their company.

Tour Operator / F.I.T Leads

Members interested in Motor Coach and Foreign Individual Traveler (F.I.T) business will receive leads generated from tour operator contacts, familiarization tours, major trade shows and phone inquiries. These domestic and international leisure sales leads will give members the opportunity to contact and follow up with interested organizers.

Visitor Center Brochure Distribution

The LICVB&SC Visitor Information Centers attract thousands of people each year and offer the opportunity to distribute your brochures at NO COST. Due to the volume of travelers to the visitor centers, the need for your brochures is in great demand. Brochures are distributed May through October at our Visitor Chalet on Southern State Parkway, and year round at the Tanger Outlet Center and Long Island Islip MacArthur Airport.

Member Networking And Educational Events

Enjoy informal networking events with the people who can help you do more business. Several Member networking events and valuable educational seminars are organized each year.

LICVB&SC “Partner” Designation

Each Member is provided with a LICVB&SC Member designation displayed on the Bureau’s website listing.

Committee Participation

The LICVB&SC offers several committees that are open to all Members. The committees include Meetings & Conventions, Sports, Tour & Travel, Membership, Finance and Marketing. Regular meetings provide committee members the opportunity to learn about the sales and marketing initiatives and also provide a forum for networking.

Referral Services

Over 65,000 inquiries are made to the LICVB&SC for various tourism related services annually. Best efforts are made to meet these requests by referring callers to LICVB&SC Members.

Photo File

Members are invited to submit photos of their property or attraction, which may be used for press distribution or in the LICVB&SC’s promotional materials.

Activity Line

The 24-hour phone system and the LICVB&SC website allow potential visitors to request information any time of the day at 1-877-FUN-ON-LI or http://www.discoverlongisland.com

Annual Meeting

This event allows Members to gain insight into the workings of the Bureau, while providing the opportunity to get to know your fellow Members. A recap of the year’s events is presented, as well as a look into the future.

Joint Venture Opportunities

Many marketing and promotional projects undertaken by the LICVB&SC offer the opportunity for participation by Members, which means exposure to new markets and business contacts.

Travel Guide Advertising Opportunity

You may choose to purchase an advertisement in our annual LONG ISLAND TRAVEL GUIDE. Contact Island Publications at 631 843-2205 for more information and rates.

Website Advertising Opportunity
