Main House Tours at Connetquot River State Park Preserve

The Main House was once the clubhouse of the South Side Sportsmen's Club of Long Island which was established in 1866. Park visitors will visit the Rod Room, Ladies and Men's Dining Room, Kitchen, Sitting Rooms, Bell Room, Bedroom and Billiard Room, where Theodore Roosevelt, Ulysses S. Grant and other prominent men sat around a Ben Franklin stove after a day of fishing the Connetquot River.
