Latin art has exploded and become one of the leading voices to explore the richness of the Latin spirit and culture. In response to a burgeoning Latin American population on Long Island, Nassau County Museum of Art is presenting Latinas!, a major exhibition of Latin American art in which art created by women and images of women in art heighten awareness of the rich distinctive ethnic and historic roles played by women to capture the imagination, particularly their inextricable connection with sustaining and nurturing life.
